Auction for Robbie Edwards

A great ILM model maker I've worked with recently had a debilitating stroke right after his insurance expired, leaving him and his family with a huge medical and care bill. The good folks at 32Ten have put together a great auction that will be filled with Star Wars items and other art from various artist. JAEGERTECH has joined the auction with these 3 images that will be sold separately, framed and signed by Alex Jaeger. Along with 5 sets of 1st generation JAEGERTECH design prints originally made only for comic con. I've also donated 2 Star Wars episode 3 sketches I did for the interior design of the blockade runner.

New Superbowl trailers of 2 of the projects I've been working on.

First there's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, of which I did some VFX art direction and concept art for...

and then there's Transformers 4: Age of Extinction which I am currently VFX Art Director on. This is my 4th Transformers film and 6th or 7th Michael Bay film since being VFX Art Director on Pearl Harbor. He keeps us busy!

Some of my work on Pacific Rim featured in WIRED.com!

Several of the behind the scenes videos have been surfacing online this week. There's this one from WIRED that focuses on the building of the Jaegers.
      And there's a second one that features the all digital Hong Kong we had to build in order to accomplish the big city fight in the film.

     Although the film was massively overlooked (snubbed if you will) by the Academy, it's up for the BAFTA's for best Visual Effects and several nominations by the Visual Effects Society (VES) including my self for the category of best models in a motion picture. This is my third nomination by the VES and if we win would be my second award.

     I would like to congratulate fellow ILMer's Tim Alexander for his nomination for The Lone Ranger VFX and Roger Guyett and Pat Tubach for Star Trek: Into Darkness VFX. Good luck, it's a tough year for this category!
